Abstract We investigate lower hybrid waves in magnetic reconnection at the flank magnetopause using Magnetospheric Multiscale data. Intense emissions of are observed density boundary ion jet. Associated with waves, electrons exhibit signatures heating direction parallel to field. Near Landau resonance energy, electron fluxes field show oscillations same frequency as waves. Our analysis indicates that gradient edge jets provides free energy further contribute through damping. results shed light on role wave−particle interactions conversion chain jets.
